“Who knows, perhaps you have been made for such a time as this.”
Esther 4:14

This Old Testament book tells the story of a Jewish girl who becomes queen of Persia and is used by God to rescue His people from annihilation. Although God is never explicitly mentioned, he is never absent, and throughout the narrative, we’re given a glimpse of God’s perfect plan at work through imperfect people. The book of Esther points to Jesus, his redemptive work and how he uses ordinary people in his great rescue plan. In this five-part study, we want to explore what it means for us to refract the light, love and life of Christ in our world. Our encouragement is that you read through the book of Esther a number of times and trust that, like Esther, God has marked out this exact moment in history for you. There is a bigger story playing out than just the one you’re watching, and God is using you to accomplish it.

We have packaged this content into a five-week series that includes:

- a Sunday preach on the current topic
- a mid-week video which explores the topic on a more practical level (this is best done in a Connect Group setting)
- A Study Guide for you to grow in.

Our prayer is that by the end of the five weeks, you’ll have a deeper understanding of what it means to refract the light, love and life of Christ in our world.
