This course is open to all Port Elizabeth couples whether they attend One Life Church or not
Marriage is a gift but it takes work & patience to love each other.
One Life Church offers comprehensive support for couples who are preparing for marriage. The course is run by Dave and Megan Shepherd. “We think that there is nothing greater or better to do than to get married. Our best marriage advice is to “stay married” and, while the odds seem to be stacking against lifelong marriages, there is no reason why yours shouldn’t be a great one.”
Marriage is amazing and it’s worth preparing for so we’ve set some time aside for couples who are approaching marriage.
Our next course runs weekly between 7 May and 4 June 2012.
Over the 5 weeks we will cover essential big topic areas including:
- The Nature of marriage.
- What in it for me … I mean you?
- Acknowledging and loving our differences.
- Husbands and wives and “who does what!?”
- Flash Points
- Communication and conflict
- Romance, sex and getting physical.
These sessions are covered in a relaxed easy atmosphere with a small group of up to 6 couples. Typically an evening will begin with drinks and snacks and then move to an hour or so of teaching and discussion.
A cost of R300 per couple covers all printing materials and snacks. In the past we have tried to do the last session over dinner, if the group agrees we will do that again at a reasonable additional cost.
